gently down the stream: this record was composed while i was living in california. at the time i spent allot of time hanging out near a specific quiet spot near the beach - a stream in fact that flowed into the ocean... there was always a strange display of color where the fresh drain water would meet with the briny salt water and when the tides were full the stream took on a much more intense quality right around where it became swallowed by the mighter body of water - it was always a great visual circus at play. anyway one day i decided to send out some floating paper boats i'd made and coated with wax in order to film them... this is where i got the idea for the title of the record and no doubt those floating objects have since made it around the world (hopefully like this music). it's an older style of mine
that i don't adhere to but hopefully some of you listeners will still get a kick out of the 'classic' sounds therein.
