Fluorescence was the first release on the original Tokyo Droning release package. It was originally released in edition of 100, which sold out in about 2 days despite limited press. As most people who know me will tell you, I love Jason's work. Yet, Fluorescence isn't a 'typical' (if that can even be applied) offthesky release as it is far more of an experimental drone record than I have ever heard from Jason before. Indeed, Fluorescence is a 30 minute live performance based upon a 2 minute recording of a fluorescent light. Whilst in most hands this could sound painfully droll, in Jason's its a pure wonder with its slowly shifting tones and scope, perhaps more openly focused on the little nuances that he is so well-known for.
